DESCRIPTION:The MG Car Club Victoria proudly invites you to the 34th Rob R
oy Historic & Classic Hillclimb, returning on Sunday 22nd November 2026 at
the iconic Rob Roy Hillclimb venue. Now in its 34th year, Historic & Clas
sic Rob Roy has become one of Victoria\'s premier hillclimb events, celebr
ating the machines, history and people that make classic motoring so speci
al. What began in 1992, following the MG Car Club\'s resurrection of the v
enue, has grown into a highly regarded event attracting up to 100 competit
ors from across the state. This year we turn our attention east with our 2
026 theme: Celebrating Icons of Japan. From legendary sports cars and perf
ormance heroes to the vehicles that shaped generations of enthusiasts, we
are excited to welcome Japanese car clubs and enthusiasts to display their
vehicles in the beautiful, family-friendly setting that is Rob Roy. Locat
ed at the gateway to the Yarra Valley and only 45km from Melbourne\'s CBD,
Rob Roy provides the perfect backdrop for a day of motoring passion. Comp
etitors with the appropriate licences are warmly invited to take part and
experience one of Australia\'s most historic motorsport venues firsthand.
Rob Roy is steeped in history, hosting both the first Victorian and Austra
lian Hillclimb Championships in 1938, and remains a hidden treasure in wor
ld motorsport history as the second oldest purpose-built, bitumen-sealed H
illclimb track in the world. For spectators, entry is just $10 per person
or $20 per carload, making it an affordable day out for the whole family.
Full catering will be available throughout the day, proudly provided by th
e local Panton Hill CFA, with all catering profits helping support their i
mportant community work. Whether you come for the competition, the history
, the sounds of iconic machinery, or simply a great family day out, we loo
k forward to welcoming you to Rob Roy for another memorable Historic & Cla
ssic celebration. For any Japanese Car Clubs wishing to display their cars
on the day please contect Wayne Rushton 0412 339 934 to book your spot.
